I’ve reposted this Rule for a couple reasons:
- Searching for balls: I haven’t played with the Fore Golf! Fellas for a while. I was lucky enough to play on a recent Thursday. It’s pretty apparent Fore Golf! Members are “stretching” the Semi-new 3-Minute Rule searching for balls. This Rule was put into place to speed up play. Please abide by the Rule.
- Camaraderie/Golf Etiquette: And, more importantly, from my/camaraderie/golf etiquette perspective; I play with my local/community Men’s Club here in Bear Valley Springs. There are some of them here who won’t help search/look for balls because winning is more important than their morals. I can tell you thru the last 30+ Years being a Member of Fore Golf! This is the last thing I’ve experienced with Fore Golf! Members. Our Members are usually quick to go help whenever they can. And, I hope I never experience this with Fore Golf! Gentlemen, take satisfaction in knowing your play with a bunch of genuinely good Guys. Let’s hope it stays that way!

- When Your Ball Is Lost or Out of Bounds
When Ball is Lost. Your ball is lost if not found in three minutes after you or your caddie begin to search for it. If a ball is found in that time but it is uncertain whether it is your ball:
- You must promptly attempt to identify the ball and are allowed a reasonable time to do so, even if that happens after the three-minute search time has ended.
- This includes a reasonable time to get to the ball if you are not where the ball is found.
If you do not identify your ball in that reasonable time, the ball is lost.
